Instant Transfers

Instant transfers are payment transactions that allow funds to be transferred between bank accounts within the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) in real time, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Unlike traditional transfers, which may take several hours or even business days to be processed, instant transfers are completed in just a few seconds, regardless of the day or time at which they are made.

To make an instant transfer, simply access Homebanking or the FinantiaNet app and follow the steps below:

  1. Under Transfers, select New transfer or internal transfer;
  2. Under Select an option, choose New transfer;
  3. Enter the transfer recipient by providing the IBAN, mobile phone number, or Tax Identification Number (NIF/NIPC);
  4. On the next screen, you will need to enter the required transfer details, including whether you wish to make a standard or instant transfer;
  5. With the VOP system, the name of the first account holder is returned in the first field so that you can confirm that it is the correct destination account:
    1. If it matches, the transfer can proceed;
    2. If it does not match, a message will be displayed allowing you to confirm or amend the information;

  6. Finally, all the transfer details will be displayed so that you can confirm the transaction before it is executed.

Instant transfers offer several advantages for our clients:

  • Speed: Funds are made available in the recipient’s account within just a few seconds, regardless of the day or time;
  • Continuous availability: The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays;
  • Simplicity: The transfer may be carried out using the IBAN, mobile phone number, or Tax Identification Number (NIF/NIPC), making the process more flexible and convenient;
  • Security: The system validates the beneficiary’s identity in advance before completing the transaction, reducing the risk of errors and fraud;
  • Alignment with current needs: The service meets the growing demand for speed and autonomy in banking operations, providing a modern, efficient, and practical digital experience.

By default, a daily limit of €20,000 applies to both standard and instant transfers. This limit may be amended by the client through Online Banking or by contacting their relationship manager directly.

Requests to amend the limit may be submitted in the following ways:

  • Through Online Banking, with the new limit becoming available after a 12-hour waiting period;
  • By telephone, through your account officer;
  • At a branch or by email, by completing the limit amendment request form provided by your account officer.

Where the request is made directly through the relationship manager, the new limit will be available immediately.

The client may define either a daily limit or a per-transaction limit. The daily limit corresponds to the maximum amount that may be transferred in a single day, based on the aggregate value of all transactions carried out, provided that the total does not exceed the applicable limit while it remains in force. The per-transaction limit applies individually to each transfer, allowing multiple transactions to be carried out provided that none exceeds the defined amount.

If the client sets a limit below €20,000 (the Bank’s default limit), this will become the new applicable limit until further notice. If the client requests an increase to the limit, the increased limit will remain active for 24 hours, after which it will revert to the previously configured limit, the default limit of €20,000, or any lower amount defined by the client.

VoP Service

VoP (Verification of Payee) is a feature that allows you to verify whether the name of the beneficiary indicated as the recipient of a transfer matches any of the holders of the account to which you intend to make the transaction.

In this way, it helps ensure that the transfer is being made to the correct account and beneficiary.

When initiating a transfer, the user enters the recipient’s IBAN or BIC and may also provide the name of the beneficiary to whom the transfer is to be made.

At a later stage in the process, before confirming the transaction, the system verifies whether the beneficiary name provided matches that of one of the account holders of the destination account.

If there is a match, the transfer can proceed as normal. If any discrepancy is identified, a notification will be displayed, allowing the user to review the information and decide whether to proceed with the transaction.

  • Reduce el riesgo de error, evitando transferencias a cuentas incorrectas;
  • Refuerza la prevención del fraude, alertando sobre posibles inconsistencias en los datos;
  • Aumenta la transparencia y la confianza en el proceso de transferencia;
